Edit the file
sudo gedit /usr/local/etc/usbttyd.conf
verify that you have uncommented the monitor lines like this:
# Note: These devices are dynamic, i.e. they will not exist
# until a device is connected.
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB0
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB1
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB2
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB3
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB4
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB5
and then delete the # in front of /ttyUSB0 or all the USB adapters in case you get assigned another value...
monitor /dev/ttyUSB0
monitor /dev/ttyUSB1
monitor /dev/ttyUSB2
monitor /dev/ttyUSB3
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB4
#monitor /dev/ttyUSB5
once you do that, save the /usr/local/etc/usbttyd.conf
then via cli run:
xxxxx@yyyy:~$ usbttyd.pl
Watching devices /dev/ttyS0,/dev/ttyS1,/dev/ttyUSB0,/dev/ttyUSB1,/dev/ttyUSB2,/dev/ttyUSB3,/dev/ttyUSB4,/dev/ttyUSB5
for possible devices: wheel
It should discover the wheel.
Let's start there.
