Hier hab ich mit STRG C abgebrochen, nachdem ich zweimal Sicherheitswarnungen der Firewall und des Benutzersicherheitssystems mit JA/OK bestätigt hab, weil es hängen geblieben ist.

Habe dann die drei Module Test::..... installiert und nochmal versucht.
Hängt wieder an der gleichen Stelle fest. Wenn ich das dort nicht mit STRG C abbrechen würde, blieb das noch bis morgen.

Can't locate HTTP/Server/Simple/CGI.pm

Die Meldung sagt das "HTTP::Server::Simple::CGI" fehlt. Sprich der Test ist schlecht geschrieben. Er lädt einfach das Modul und da es nicht gefunden wird bricht der Test ab. Dadurch wird deine Testsuite eben nicht korrekt ausgeführt und das Modul wird nicht installiert.

Ausweg:
1) Vorher nochmal manuell "HTTP::Server::Simple::CGI" installieren
2) Installation erzwingen trotz fehlschlag der Testsuite.

Hmm, ja.

Laut CPAN Dependecies ist HTTP::Server::Simple notwendig.

//EDIT: Und laut Tester-Matrix gibt es unter Win32 für 5.10.1 einige Fails!

  Komisch. Hab mir mal solche Reports angeschaut und die dort unter Prerequiries angegebenen Module überprüft, hab alles drauf.
  Weiß nicht, warum das nicht klappt.

Aber ob das hilft!? Muss du probieren, ansonsten hat du halt eine kaputte Installation von WWW-Mechanize.

Er bricht lediglich bei einem test ab "t\local\back.t" das den back Button Support testen soll.

Zum vorgehen der Tests. Die Tests starten lokal einen kleinen Webserver und dort wird dann WWW::Mechanize drauf ausgeführt der die interaktion testet.

Interessanterweise wird aber erwähnt das "HTTP::Server::Simple" kein Windows unterstützen sollte. Wenn das der Fall ist, dann sollten eigentlich auch die Tests übersprungen werden. Ansonsten muss es nicht bedeuten das WWW::Mechanize deswegen nicht funktioniert. Der Lokale Server liefert "Error 500" anstatt ein HTTP Error 404 zurück.

Solch ein Fehler kann wirklich passieren wenn z.B: der Server zu lange braucht zum hochfahren. Da es der allererste Test ist der überhaupt einen Server startet kann das also durchaus möglich sein, dass nach dem starten zu kurz gewartet wird, und deswegen die test fehlschlagen. Aber grundsätzlich bedeutet es halt wie gesagt nicht das deswegen WWW::Mechanize defekt ist, das kann einwandfrei funktionieren, und alle anderen test laufen ja auch problem los durch.

Ich persönlich stufe das problem also gering ein und würde WWW::Mechanize forcieren zur installation. Ob die "Back" Funktionalität geht (das macht der test) kannst du auch so später nochmal an einer webseite ausprobieren.

Zum Forcieren muss du beim normalen CPAN Client glaube ich "install WWW::Mechanize --force" machen oder so. Oder komplett davor "force install WWW::Mechanize" etc. Musst du mal selber schauen "help" gibt hilfe aus. Ich nutze primär nur noch CPANPLUS. Das stellt mir am ende immer eine ja/nein frage ob ich es trotzdem installieren möchte daher weiß ich gerade nicht mehr wie es beim normalen CPAN Client ging.

    Wahrscheinlich "force install WWW::Mechanize". Zumindest geht es bei mir, aber bei schlägt auch WWW::Mechanize nicht fehl.

    Das es nicht installiert wird ohne force weil "make test" fehlgeschlagen ist. CPAN merkt sich teilweise die ergebnisse von vorherigen durchläufen. Das ist manchmal nervig. Hast du "force" nun ausprobiert, ging es nicht etc.? Wenn du möchtest kannst du CPAN auch weg lassen das tar.gz selber entpacken und

    aufrufen. Bzw. da du Strawberry nutzt musst du wohl "nmake" anstatt "make" nutzen und hoffen das die Pfade korregt gesetzt wurden von Strawberry so das es auch "nmake" direkt in deiner Shell findet.

      Ich würde vorher gern noch eine "normale" Installation mit der von Gwen vorgeschlagenen Version 1.58 versuchen, weiß aber nicht, wie ich eine bestimmte Version erzwingen kann.
      
      Im help steht nicht, wie man das macht.

        Geht aber glaube ich beim normalen CPAN nicht. Musst das wohl das Modul Manuell herunterladen und installieren.
        
        EDIT: Allerdiengs gehört CPANPLUS mitlerweile ebenfalls zum Standardcore, ruf doch mal "cpanp" anstatt "cpan" auf. Wenn das geht kannst du oberes eingeben.

        Hat geklappt. Cool! Tests sind zwar wieder gescheitert, hab aber am Ende die Frage mit y beantwortet, dass trotzdem fortgesetzt werden soll.

Warum lässt du das Test-/Installer-Skript nicht durch die Firewall? Ängste?

Wenn du dir mal http://cpansearch.perl.org/src/PETDANCE/WWW-Mechan... ansiehts, erzeugt WWW-Mechanize einen lokalen Server zum Testen auf localhost.

Wie soll WWW-Mechanize prüfen, ob es korrekt läuft?

        Durch den Abbruch mit Strg C schloss ich, dass die Desktop-Firewall irgendwas im Netzwerk blockierte.
        Ich keine einige Desktopfirewalls, die bei Serververhalten manchmal nichts melden, den Traffic nicht rauslassen.

    Ich verstand das so: Du hast bei der Meldung der Firewall bestätigt, dass es durch darf.
    OK. Das war für mich nicht dssselbe wie die komplette Freigabe von Perl.
